Directors Roles And Responsibilities
Most Directors are elected after being vetted by the Trustees, the Grand Knight and often the pastor. Some Directors are appointed by the Grand Knight. So Directors, often Officers, are the core of the council. The program activities we undertake are focused to facilitate our mission, that is, to serve all Gods people.
The Program Director is appointed by the Grand Knight and, at the same time, may be the Deputy Grand Knight if no one steps up to the opportunity. In any case, the Program Director reports to the Deputy Grand Knight. Program is planned and implemented by several men in 4 major roles.
These roles are: Faith, Family, Community and Life.
The Program Director's role is to communicate to the counsel, the status of activities in progress, throughout the counsel year. There are 4 Role Directors. They are:
Faith Director Family Director Community Director and Life Director
The Program Director may train and / or guide each Director by supplying education docs on line and webinars and / or request in-person training opportunities as needed.
The Program Director assists with initial contacts to build teams. Each team must build and manage at least 4 projects during the council year. Directors will be asked to report progress, status and results at each council business meeting. This is a minimum of 16 projects for the council year, all within report deadlines submitted!
